MASS TIMBER SEMINAR INTERNATIONAL 2024

For the 8th time the timber world will meet at the Rothoblaas Headquarters!

Two days will be dedicated to mass timber construction for both aspiring professionals and experts. Including a comprehensive program of speeches and case studies to discover, keep up with all the latest developments and unique networking opportunities.

TARGET

This seminar is for designers, architects, structural engineers and timber construction enthusiasts seeking to create and build significant relationships within the sector. A chance to stay updated with the latest construction trends and technologies on the market.

CONTENT AND NEW FOCUS

The timber sector is in constant and fast growth. There are always new technical solutions to respond to the market requests.

This year we will concentrate on hybrid structures. We will be discussing technical details, advantages and potential, R&D, optimization for timber-to-steel and timber-to-concrete hybrid structures.
The new technologies are capturing the interest of major steel and concrete manufacturers as well, which will be present to give their future vision about the hybrid timber market and share technical solutions already experimented on site.

With these new technologies, we can develop innovative timber structures, more optimized, better behaviour to seimic forces, longer spans, more challenging engineering solutions.

As usual, new construction technologies need innovative connections.
We will analyze connections for post and beam systems and hybrid solutions to achieve high shear and fire resistance, construction tolerances, speed on site and demountability of the timber structures.

There will be plenty of opportunities to address and discuss the future of timber construction as well as a tour of Rothoblaas new automatic warehouse.
